Information we collect

When you apply for or participate in the Yuvité Consumer Experience, we may collect:

  • your name and email address;

  • your age range and stage of menopause;

  • information you choose to provide about HRT, medication, supplements, allergies or relevant health circumstances;

  • your responses to the Baseline, Week 4, Week 8 and Week 12 questionnaires;

  • your self-rated energy, tiredness, concentration, mood, sleep and general wellbeing;

  • information about your experience of using Yuvité;

  • information about significant changes during the 12 weeks that may help us understand your responses; and

  • communications relating to your participation.

Some of this information relates to your health and wellbeing and may constitute special-category personal data under UK data-protection law.

We aim to collect only information that is relevant and necessary for administering and evaluating the Consumer Experience.

Why we use your information

We use your information to:

  • assess eligibility for the Consumer Experience;

  • administer your participation;

  • communicate with you about the Consumer Experience;

  • send you participation information and questionnaires;

  • understand your experience of using Yuvité over the 12 weeks;

  • compare questionnaire responses at different stages;

  • understand factors that may have influenced participants’ responses; and

  • evaluate the Consumer Experience and help inform the future development of Yuvité.

Consumer Experience information will not automatically be used to send you general marketing communications.

Any permission to use your comments, testimonial, photograph or video for marketing purposes will be requested separately and will be optional.

Our lawful basis for using your information

Participation in the Yuvité Consumer Experience is voluntary.

For personal information collected specifically for the Consumer Experience where we rely on consent, our lawful basis is consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR.

Some information you provide may concern your health and wellbeing and therefore constitute special-category personal data. For this information, we rely on your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) of the UK GDPR.

We ask for the relevant consent when information is collected.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting info@balanceher.co.uk.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn. Where applicable, we will stop processing the relevant identifiable information unless another legal basis requires or permits us to retain particular information.

Withdrawal may mean that you are unable to continue participating in the Consumer Experience.

How we use the results

Individual questionnaire responses will be reviewed for the purpose of administering and evaluating the Consumer Experience.

When reporting overall findings, we will aim to use aggregated or anonymised information so individual participants are not identified.

We will not publicly identify you as a participant or use your personal comments, photograph or video for marketing without separate permission.

Who has access to your information

Access to identifiable participant information is limited to BalanceHer Ltd personnel who require it to administer or evaluate the Consumer Experience.

We may use trusted service providers to operate our website, forms, email and data storage. These providers may process personal information on our behalf and are expected to provide appropriate data-protection and security safeguards.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep your information

Identifiable information collected as part of the Yuvité Consumer Experience will normally be retained for 12 months following completion of the overall Consumer Experience.

This allows us sufficient time to complete our analysis, review the findings and maintain appropriate records of the Consumer Experience.

At the end of this period, identifiable participant information will be securely deleted or anonymised unless we are legally required to retain particular information for longer.

Information that has been fully anonymised so that it can no longer be linked to an individual may be retained for longer for analysis and business purposes.

Keeping your information secure

We take appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect participant information against unauthorised access, accidental loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Access to identifiable participant information is restricted to authorised personnel. Where practical, participant identification numbers may be used for analysis instead of names or contact details.

We aim to avoid creating unnecessary copies of identifiable participant information and collect only the information necessary for the Consumer Experience.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights in relation to your personal information, including the right to:

  • request access to your personal information;

  • ask us to correct inaccurate information;

  • request deletion of your information in certain circumstances;

  • ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances;

  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and

  • raise a concern about how your information is being handled.

To exercise your rights or withdraw your consent, please contact:

maria@balanceher.co.uk

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you have concerns about how your personal information has been handled.

Changes to this Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice if the way we run the Consumer Experience or use participant information changes.

If a significant change affects how information already collected from participants will be used, we will provide appropriate information before using it for the new purpose.
